Croswell Swinging Bridge
Located on at the end of Maple Street - Croswell
Sanilac County is home to Michigan’s only suspension footbridge. Built in 1905, the suspension footbridge, is also called the “Mother-in-Law Bridge” because there is a sign stating “Be Good to Your Mother-in- Law” at one end.

Thumb Octagon Barn and Agricultural Museum

The Thumb Octagon Barn and Agricultural Museum features the original James & Cora Purdy farmstead, which includes the 70’ high octagonal barn, a 15 room Craftsman-style house and unique powerhouse. Self-guided and guided tours are available May through October. The site also includes a one room country schoolhouse and museum, a grain elevator, a sawmill and a sugar shack.
