Sanilac County, located in the Thumb of Michigan on the shore of Lake Huron, is less than a two-hour drive from several of Michigan's main metropolitan areas: Detroit, Saginaw, Bay City, Midland, Flint and Lansing; and less than an hour drive from Ontario by way of the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron.
